WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be put on weapons and armor pieces and increase their power. These upgrade item s increase the gauge of an item by a specific number of points. The cost of these upgrades increases according to their rarity.
A perfectly made version of this armor is highly prized in the melee PvP community due to its ability to limit weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are a crucial element of the crafting process. Upgrades can be used to increase the effectiveness of an item, enhance its strength, or even give it an added benefit. They can also alter the appearance of the item. Certain upgrades are universal, while others are governed by specific rules for weapons and armor. The wrong upgrade can ruin a weapon that was otherwise fantastic, and even make it unusable.
The general rule is that you can only upgrade an item of equipment to the standard of the most advanced gear in its category. You can only upgrade helms up to the highest level. Weapons, on the other hand can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this doesn't boost the weapon's damage output, but could decrease its value in trade.
To upgrade an item you need to purchase flightstones and crests. The amount you pay for each depends on the item's level and slot. For example upgrading to a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading a cloak or bracers. You may also get discounts on the number of flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on an item gets filled when it is upgraded. Each step raises Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It may take different upgrades to reach this level, based on the item. It is crucial to remember that any procedure that may mount a disk shouldn't be performed while upgrading. In addition, you must ensure that the upgraded disk is not being used as a system disk.
Enchantment is a feature which allows you to transform white or Common items into blue or rare ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop, located in the Capital District is where you can do it. This procedure does not add gem or rune slot to the equipment. However, it does change the dimensions of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature two categories smaller, so for example, a Blaster Pistol is considered Small and the Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be made on any kind of equipment. This includes armor, weapons and trinkets. The upgrade components are usually random drops, however they can also be gathered by completing Side Quests. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent, and can overlap with Power Ups. They can be linear or branching.
The Universal Upgrade starts when "internal technologies" can give sentient animals new capabilities that they could not develop naturally. Implants and prostheses are examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade differs from medical internal technology which seeks to restore natural capabilities. It's the beginning of an era that will change civilizations fundamentally. The universal upgrade is a complex process that can take an extended time to complete. The process can be classified into two types that are complete success and partial failure.
This is similar to the way resort upgrades are implemented at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW, they usually happen due to operational needs such as overbooking or room availability. In the case of Universal the reason could be to move guests from one resort to another one that is open. This is not intended to be a sarcastic comment however in the current climate it might be impossible to avoid.
Universal upgrades can be used on any type of gear. They can also be applied to multiple items at the same time. This makes them more flexible than other types of upgrade. Additional Info can be a problem when upgrading items on a particular gear path. It will increase the item levels of all items on that path.
Prior to performing an upgrade, it is important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. Then, you can install new files by using the GetChildItemRecurse command or Unblock-File. To make sure that your PSU server is working correctly, you should also perform a basic validation.
Jewels
Jewels can be incorporated into armor, weapons or other items. They offer varying stat bonuses and other effects depending on the gem and reagent that is used to make them. They are found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions as well as V Blood Carriers and other regular enemies, or they can be purchased from a Master Craftsman for karma or gold. Jewels can also be made at a jewelry table using one gem and five of the same type of ingredients to create a jewel of a higher or lower tier; this process is similar to upgrading a gemstone with the use of a gemcrafting table.
Jewel tiers are based on the number of modifiers they possess and higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than those of lower tier. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier, whereas the secondary effect is random. The players can use luck potions to increase their chances of receiving better secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components, jewels can be inserted into an item with an appropriate socket to increase the. For example, a Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both add strength, however the Garnet Pebble only increases the number of hits that are regular, while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strength. Jewels can be inserted into all levels of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, and some trinkets of lesser rarity or exotic which require a slot to be empty.
As with other DM mechanics, gems help to keep items feeling special to their owners. With a range of different upgrade paths jewels let players alter their equipment to find the combination that best suits their needs. They can also upgrade their existing gear with new jewels if the original set of a given kind isn't working anymore.
Requirements
Item Upgrades in WoW allow players to level up the levels of their weapons, set pieces of equipment, and trinkets above their current level of items from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades improve the base stats of the item and some also have special effects (such as Dolphin's Grace which allows players to feel like dolphins while they swim). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading items or reclaiming them. Different items will drop various upgrade components.

The process of upgrading can be quite complex, but simple. First, the player picks the item they want to upgrade and then click on the Upgrade button. A window will appear with the different upgrades available for this item. The window will display the upgrade level, any type of upgrade bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance) as well as the cost of the upgrade. The bonus for upgrading will be shown below the bar which shows the upgrade level.
The player will need bring the item to the upgrader, who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player will then need to provide the appropriate currency and, if needed, additional materials. These requirements are based on the item's level of manufacture, with weapons typically having stricter requirements than armor.
In addition to the required upgrade components, many upgrade recipes come with an acceptable materials list. This list includes the other components of an upgrade that can be used to upgrade an item. It also contains a flag that indicates whether or not it has a guarantee of a boost. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item may differ significantly based on the extras it comes with, with properly roll gear much more valuable than those that are not upgraded.
The list of upgrade types that require valorstones or crests will be shown in a separate list below the main list. The amount of crests and valorstones required depends on the level of the item. Upgrades to weapons require the most Valorstones.
